Afternoon Tea in The Big Easy

A little over a year ago my dear friend Marie got engaged. In the craziness since then, time has flown by. My friends and family have found our weekends full of parties, showers and exciting anticipation leading up to not only her wedding on December 3 but several others that are taking place in 2011. There's hasn't been a dull moment for a long time...

Recently some of her bridesmaids and our mothers made a trip to New Orleans to celebrate Marie at a Lingerie Tea at the Ritz. Before we get to the tea, firsts things first. It's become a tradition that in order to make any trip to New Orleans official, two things must happen:

1. Pub Zero
2. Port of Call Monsoon

My Lecie and I before the tea.

The bride to be received so many great gifts. The tea was such a neat and unique experience and we were all honored to be included in this special event leading up to the wedding.

We're missing our fifth amiga, Jacqueline.

The girls and their momma's. We really had a great time!

The bride to be and myself. Marie was my Maid of Honor,
and in December I'll be her Matron of Honor.

After the tea, Whitney, A'lice and I spent the night in the city and had a great time with our mom's! We even got to take them to our favorite restaurant and introduce them to our favorite drink, the Monsoon!

After dinner we headed out for a night on the town. Piano bar and good company. What more can you ask for?

After spending the weekend in NOLA with some of the best people in my life, it made me realized how lucky I am, how fortunate we are, and how if I wasn't us... I sure would want to be us.
